Have you noticed? The "realistic" or "realism" AI results for man/woman have apparent big heads (mostly even huge) compared to their own bodies. It's like the camera is close to the face. Even the results in Google Search have such phenomena. The obvious ones are for Asian women. Why as such for perhaps even the different AI's, why the same pattern from them?

Try searching for such now, try something like: "realistic AI Asian woman", and you'll even see ones with actual HUGE heads, most especially the "realistic" ones. Different AI programs and yet the same huge head pattern from them?

Any actual AI users, could you please share your experience too? Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.

Understood, thanks. πŸ‘

External images could be linked and displayed using:

  • ![](external url)

Then Lemmy images could be resized which I think also shrinks the file size; hence faster display time, save internet data, and save screen space; by adding &thumbnail=:

  • ![](https://lemmy. .../pictrs/image/... .webp?format=webp&thumbnail=320)

So, is it possible to do similar but for any external image? Or at least generate thumbnails of many external images? Thanks in advance.

What would you recommend?

ThanksπŸ‘, so Sentry then and Lewis Pullman. I didn't recognize him there. Nice, "Bob", same as in Top Gun Maverick.

Question, who's the character under Bucky's gun? So seven field members of Thunderbolts?

Can't wait for the film. Seems like they have incredible chemistry.

Well, they'll probably see it. I think Lemmy users should post there too to trigger them. The Reddit counterpart Mods with those same names are active in the Subreddit counterpart, not just by Mod activity but they're actually knowledgeable of yt-dlp usage and other programs like Python, and they actually answer/reply there. So hopefully the Lemmy counterpart becomes active too, like at least cross post.

From this particular Reddit post:

I tested several from the list. So thank you to the kind poster (a Mod actually).

  1. Alright, I checked your screenshot, your results have no single AV1.
  2. Your -S "codec" seems to be not working as you intended anymore. Sometimes the ranking changes too through time, so you must update your command line. Happened to me too before. For example, use -S vcodec:av01. Again, don't forget, your results have no single AV1, hence no AV1 could be downloaded.

So far works for me. For example Joshua vs Dubois highlight:

yt-dlp.exe -S vcodec:av01 -F https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZJCDbszAE4

As you can see, the bottom are 399, 398, 397, 396, etc., all AV1 formats. Last is 399 which is 1080p. The last on the list is the one would be downloaded, especially if you have FFmpeg.

Ah, alright. Try yt-dlp.exe -S vcodec:av01. Note however, not all YouTube videos have AV1 counterparts, and then other sites use different code for AV1, so I'm not sure if the command would always work for other non-YT sites.

[–] A32topsL@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (10 children)

Just use yt-dlp.exe url.

Also, there's a dedicated youtube-dl Community, with the Mods with the same names as in Reddit's counterpart, so it's likely them too: !youtubedl@lemm.ee

Hopefully there's true IMAX too, and not just cropped (which would cut out actual parts of the screen) to simulate its aspect ratio.

Your personal FB Profile has some Friends and Followers. Then that same personal Profile of yours is a member of a certain Group Chat (not Group), but the Friends and Followers are not members of that Group Chat.

So if you use the Share function of FB and share a post, a reel, a pic (from the FB platform itself) to that Group Chat, would your Friends and Followers know that in fact you shared something to that Group Chat, or even just a general something, like say "John Doe has shared this <reel> to a Group Chat". Would such appear on their feed, notification, or somewhere else in FB?

I'm thinking of creating a separate Page, and then use that Page to share stuff (from the FB platform itself) to a Group Chat, to maintain my privacy from my Friends and Followers regarding that Group Chat. But I don't know if a Page is even allowed to join a Group Chat. Again "Group Chat" and not "Group", which are not the same. If this is allowed, please let me know too.

Thanks in advance.

Hello. When I Post by putting the video's URL, say from YouTube, the leftside square thumbnail preview is always the generic one provided by Lemmy World, the one with the the link arrow in the middle. So I simply put the URL of the thumbnail instead (eg. maxresdefault, sddefault, etc.) It's been like such since I joined.

Then just lately, I found out existing Posts in other YouTube-related Communities, the leftside square preview thumbnails do in fact show, and with the link arrow on the top-right corner instead. And I think the Body automatically inherits the existing Title and Description from the YouTube video. Both youtu.be and www.youtube.com video links work in those Communities.

Examples of YouTube-related Communities with showing Thumbnails are:

  • c/youtubehaiku
  • c/youtube

~~Here is my latest Post as example (which I have never edited yet), and I posted it via a raw Chromium profile, so no add-ons at all if they would interfere just in case:~~

  • ~~https://lemmy.world/post/19226604~~

Thanks in advance for any help.
