I kind of want to see that letter. I won't read 22 pages, but I might read one paragraph...

So they are explaining to the Child support Enforcement Agency that they need to go to court to get the money? That's a bold strategy cotton, let's see if that pays off!

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 35 points 5 months ago (3 children)

This one was my favourite.

[–] acetanilide@lemmy.world 42 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I wonder if the case worker survived the lack of oxygen from laughing so hard at that

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 41 points 5 months ago

It's big steppa season.

[–] Spaghetti_Hitchens@kbin.social 18 points 5 months ago (1 children)

22 pages of caps locked? Oof

That's gold! Thanks for sharing!

They're so stupid. Income Withholding Orders don't have to come from the court - they're largely considered the default way to collect child support, and most orders automatically say they're going to be put in place, so the court has already ordered that the enforcement agency can and should issue them.

The only time we didn't issue an IWO was on orders that specifically forbade it (and we would go to court to get a new order if those cases were delinquent) or if the non-custodial parent was manually paying on time.

I love when they try to sound smart and official in their writing but it's still littered with mistakes.

I wonder if ChatGPT can generate nonsensical gibberish like this.

I wonder if someone could convince a LLM that they were a sovcit.

I'm using the web interface on my desktop and I've never figured out how to view an actual larger size of images posted in comments. Clicking on the image does jack.

[–] SatyrSack@lemmy.one 2 points 5 months ago

Can you try right clicking the image and selecting "open image in new tab" or something similar?

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

I'm not sure, did this on my phone.

[–] nightwatch_admin@feddit.nl 6 points 5 months ago

Look, in general I won’t kink shame but my god, you are begging for it. No sane person is going to read even a single sentence!

[–] Drusas@kbin.run 34 points 5 months ago

Ooh, ooh. I know this one!

Don't make babies you don't want to support. Support the babies you make.

[–] saltesc@lemmy.world 34 points 5 months ago

Someone had sex with this person.

[–] voracitude@lemmy.world 21 points 5 months ago

That's a little cruel to the child, don't you think?

Sovcit’s arch nemesis! Child support!

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 9 points 5 months ago

Ooh for all the litters of children they have they sure don't do a thing for them.

[–] ShankShill@sh.itjust.works 18 points 5 months ago

I've been in a courtroom with an idiot that was behind on child support that pulled this.

Took the judge 45 minutes to decide he didn't need rights to his child anymore.

[–] slazer2au@lemmy.world 13 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Wonder how unhinged those 22 pages are.

[–] ZeroCool@vger.social 14 points 5 months ago (2 children)

A SovCit and a deadbeat dad? Oh yeah, that’s gonna be unhinged as hell.

[–] frickineh@lemmy.world 16 points 5 months ago

The deadbeat parent to sovcit pipeline is real.

[–] ArtVandelay@lemmy.world 12 points 5 months ago (1 children)

As I understand it the sovereign citizen movement attracts a proportionally large number of deadbeat child support dodgers.

[–] ZeroCool@vger.social 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, I guess that shouldn't come as much of a surprise. People who reject the social contract that forms the basis of all modern societies are probably going to more likely to refuse to step up and provide for their kids too. Just all around pieces of garbage.

[–] SharkAttak@kbin.social 2 points 5 months ago

"i am my own person/state but I also want the rights guaranteed by the bill of rights AND the constitution!" entitled grown up childs.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago (2 children)
[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 12 points 5 months ago (1 children)

What’s the heck is this drivel? Child support isn’t a loan. It’s imposed on you by the state. What does the bill of rights have to do with any of this? It sounds like we’re just making stuff up. Word salad.

[–] iAmTheTot@kbin.social 13 points 5 months ago

That's because they are just making stuff up.

[–] nightwatch_admin@feddit.nl 9 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Ouch what the f.
Also a simple dna check will happily provide the physical evidence that [YOUR NAME HERE] indeed has to pay up.

[–] edgemaster72@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago

"I never signed an international treaty to pay for that kid who shares DNA with me. In fact, they owe me for the DNA I provided."

The hotdog poem was better 😂

(Reference for those curious, definitely worth a read)

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago

It is SO good.

[–] Emmie@lemm.ee 6 points 5 months ago

The only way is to eliminate the child and to do so according to the laws and ethics you need to travel back in time
