A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

It's a digital image of a painting!

(Six, if you fold the pages back.)

... or a web link to the digital image ... but, a link is a pipe, so ... Ceci est une pipe !

The famous pipe. How people reproached me for it! And yet, could you stuff my pipe? No, it's just a representation, is it not? So if I had written on my picture "This is a pipe", I'd have been lying!

This one took me a minute. But yes, it's not. Don't linger on that thought too long, though. The words that you read right now... are those my words?

Am I the one writing this comment or the one reading it?

If you immediately know that the caldlelight is fire, then the meal was cooked a long time ago.

They are in fact your words, the same as you could say this is a representation of a pipe by Rene Magritte, but not a painting. It is merely an image of the painting, but the representation is intact.

The words and the representation are abstract entities, so copying them doesn't alter their nature, unlike the act of painting an object, which produces only a representation.

I love the (currently one) down vote on your post. Clearly not a connoisseur of René's work.

Your shower thought on the other hand is on point!

Nicely done.

Agreed. OP did well.

And it's an opportunity for me to re-post this seminal picture (or, one instance of it):

😆 that's a good one! I haven't seen it before, and I thought I'd gone through all of them (to date)! Cheers!

It really isn't, because this is what I see:

If you use Jerboa, don't be fooled, the image I uploaded isn't actually broken. This is just what broken images look like.
