1984 so everyone would stop misusing it

As a privacy enthusiast, I cringe whenever people refer to 1984 as being about privacy and how “big brother” is watching them at all times. It’s not about that.

I really enjoyed Tao te Ching. I loved the parables and knowing that it was an influential person trying to teach the next king to come how to be more reasonable. My favorite parable from the book is “yield and overcome”.

Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates.

It's basically a letter from a father to his son about all the concerns an African American person has regarding their children's safety. That is a very poor explanation of this book. It's one of the few books I have read that has shaken me to my soul. I have been forever changed by this book. As a white person, it opened my eyes to things I never thought about. It is a captivating and moving read, but you will not view the world the same way ever again.
