Well those are all certainly words.

In a big old word salad.

I genuinely do not know what's being asked or answered in this one.

These twats believe a name in ALL CAPS is a ‘fictional shell corporation’ and a name in Regular Capitalized Lowercase is a ‘real person’. (They prove this by saying your name is written in all caps on your birth certificate because that’s when the government creates the shell corporation of you that they trade securities against.)

So this person is upset that the government is trying to trick them by having an envelope looking like it’s addressed to the real person, but inside the letter is for the shell corporation.

They don’t want to be conflated with their shell corporation in any way, because that’s the entity that’s responsible for taxes and following laws and paying back debts, stuff like that. SovCits want to live in and take advantage of society’s benefits, but they don’t want to actually contribute to it. Especially if it involves childcare.

I don't know if this is canon in their universe, but it's delightfully ridiculous, so I'm going with it.

[–] Seleni@lemmy.world 30 points 5 months ago (4 children)

Oh, it’s canon. And it gets even crazier.

The government uses maritime law to make these shell corporations, because your mother gives ‘berth’ to you, goods that she signs away to the State. These chuckleheads actually call it a ‘berth certificate’. That’s why they always go on about ‘not being subject to maritime law’ whe they get dragged into court.

(You can tell it’s a maritime court because the flag has fringe on it.)

They have this weird belief that words that sound the same mean the same thing. It makes for some… interesting ideas.

This is all preparation for the government to force us all to attend Navel Academy, where we will be sorted into a two-tier hierarchy. At that point, you're either innie or outie.

I fucken love this

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 5 months ago

And, because homonyms, it's about oranges, crying just a little

[–] Kerb@discuss.tchncs.de 15 points 5 months ago

kind of a funny contrast

treating words that sound similar as one and the same,
while claiming that their names can mean something diffrent depending on how it is capitalized.

All I can think of is Arrested Development.

Wait... BERTH?? That's the reason they have all the naval associations??

Is this the South Park man bear pig bit??

[–] olicvb@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 months ago

Nah the man bear pig is just an allegory for global warming. They are making al gore look like a fool because that's how most people saw him as (plus hyperbole and such)

[–] asteriskeverything@lemmy.world 8 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Woah wait, especially if it involves childcare? Damn I thought they were just varying degree of stupid contrairan dorks that hate the government and cops especially laws about land or vehicles, and I guess court,, cuz that's all I ever saw. Is it like against child support or something or paying taxes that benefit schools if they are CF or something else? More?

I experienced havint dinner with one once. It was a treat, I've never felt so smart in my life.

[–] Revan343@lemmy.ca 11 points 5 months ago

Quite often the non-specific 'court' mentioned in these posts is because they're refusing to pay their child support payments.

Of course, that gets their wages garnished, so they start working off-the-books, but then the IRS eventually notices

[–] humorlessrepost@lemmy.world 18 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I can translate the question:

If a court sends me mail (probably a summons) and the envelope puts my name in title case, but the papers inside put my name in all caps, does that mean I don’t have to show up?

[–] Ashyr@sh.itjust.works 7 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Wait, do they think there's a difference between regular and all caps? Is that the private/public thing?

[–] humorlessrepost@lemmy.world 13 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (1 children)

Yeah, they think normal caps are the “living person” and all caps is a corporation that they’re the trustee of and that the corporation has a ton of money (GDP divided by population, I think) somewhere. A lot of their financial nonsense is them trying to get debtors to take the money from the imaginary corporation.

[–] Ashyr@sh.itjust.works 8 points 5 months ago (1 children)

They seem no less crazy to me, but that, at least, makes sense. Why does everyone have a corporation in their name? When did this begin? I have so many questions.

[–] Sakychu@lemmy.world 9 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

I think he is asking if a living person and an entity like a company.

I am totally not sure lol

Edit: wait no.. He is literally asking if a court is allowed to send him legal documents by mail??

[–] frickineh@lemmy.world 13 points 5 months ago

How to end up with a bench warrant in 53 complicated steps!

[–] Macaroni_ninja@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I am convinced that some people just trolling these facebook groups by coming up with hidden laws and loopholes just for shits and giggles.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago
