Now I want a hoagie and I am thousands of miles from the nearest Wawa. Curse you!

Right?!?!?! Ugh, reason number 1860 why I hate living in Texas! Lemme go back East!

Oh man, I live deep in Wawa country, just a few miles from their headquarters. Everyone I know gets 90% of their food from Wawa, it's wild.

Wawa, QuikTrip, Bucees, these are the good shit

Gotta tell you, coming to the Midwest and being exposed to the gas stations here like Quiktrip and Casey's was a revelation. All we had on the west coast was AM/PM, and those guys are hot garbage.

The gang got mad beef there

It’s where Gail the Snail works

Do you even know what a Wawa is... Girl?

well, I guess it would depend on the context. In this one, a wawa is a convenience store/gas station prevalent in the Midwest United States. edit: northeast? I fucked that up.

Did you just call Pennsylvania the Midwest? Did I just this minute find out, right now, from you, dear internet stranger... that I've spent my entire life in the Midwest?? I'm sorry, I'm gonna need a minute... I'm gonna go get a hoagie

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 3 points 4 months ago

When in doubt, hoagie it out

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 2 points 4 months ago

Midwest

Thanks for this laugh

[–] TinklesMcPoo@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

I figured more folks would get the reference. But to be clear I'm very familiar with Wawa... Maybe too much.

I've never been but there's one going in around the corner from my house.

[–] JoMiran@lemmy.ml 1 points 4 months ago

I moved away from Buc-cee's land. Now I split my time between Stinkers land and Wawa country.

[–] HEXN3T@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 4 months ago

Yep. That's a Wawa.

[–] knightly@pawb.social 1 points 4 months ago

Eww, retail.
