I'm not sure if National will end up borrowing to fund tax cuts, or will they just gut public services to achieve the cuts, then need to borrow later to fund things that need to get done.

They will do both. They are already gutting public services and it's not enough savings. They are going to need to borrow in order to give landlords tax cuts.

This is completely bonkers.

Well, the landlords got their tax cuts. Where are the working peoples tax cuts? It's been 6 months already.

Maybe they'll wait until they've gutted more of the public sector so that there's less people on payroll to benefit from the tax cuts.

For every dollar of tax cut you get you will get ten dollars in reduced services.
