Yeah, I agree that the people that wanted to come here already did.
Why would I use other platforms?
This is a yes/no question and thus not open. Also, it's similar to the recent discussion around /r/place. Removing under rule #4.
I'm going to go against the grain here but from time to time I go to my country sub, have a look at people that seem unhappy with Reddit, and post a comment like "Hey, we have that alternative community there, if you want you can give it a try"
Our current Lemmy community is still very small, so I guess that's fair for now.
You can put a link to Lemmy in your reddit profile.
I do. But I got ridiculed and downvoted to hell. I hope those are u/spez bots cause if they are real people then thatβs really unfortunate.
Nope. I've told my close friends about it and I share lemmy links to them sometimes. That's enough. Just share lemmy links instead of saving images to send. That will make people curious eventually.
No. I donβt care.
Iβm happy to be here, even if itβs not part of the New Social Media Renaissance Where Everything Will Be Better.
Iβm here for the memes, not the revolution.
I actively took part in creating the Lemmy banner on r/place over the past few days.
I know it brings traffic to Reddit, but I don't really care if the IPO brings them a few more dollars because of my 7 fake accounts.
