My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.

Why is everyone acting so surprised by this?? It’s Ubisoft. It was always going to be an open world live service penny pinching cash grab.
I won’t even think about buying a game until a week after it’s out because that’s when most companies patch in even more micro transactions.
This whole industry cut open the golden gooses of their player base and yet there’s still enough people out there shitting out golden eggs.
WOAH, what a coincidence, my money is locked behind a "High Cs" pass.
If anyone really wants to play a Ubisoft game, just wait. You’ll get less bugs for a way better price. There is never any reason to buy a Ubisoft game at lunch.
Or dinner.
I think you can say that about almost any developer these days.
Yep, whole game for me looks like "eh, should be moderately fun". Nothing about it says "oh boy day one here we go"! I'll be fine waiting a year and paying half or less, and that's what it deserves since it's a live service and they'll probably shut it down a few months after that
Ubisoft is addicted to those Ls at this point, they don't even want a free win.
Aaaaaaaaand I'm out
