So if I go twice a day, am I going to become the next Einstein?

"Increased risk was also found among those who pooped more than twice daily,"

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

So Dasnap is right that pooping exactly twice a day will inevitably make them a supergenius?

You should write motivational books about your exploits in succeeding via precision defecation 😂

Jesus Christ theres no winning on this shit!

Compared with people who pooped once a day, constipated participants had significantly worse cognition equivalent to three years more of chronological cognitive aging, the authors found. Increased risk was also found among those who pooped more than twice daily, though these higher odds were small.

This feels like one of those correlation = causation assumptions.

Yes, and during the day before a colonoscopy you will become super Einstein - based on the amount of time you spend on the toilet.

Turns out being full of shit really is the same as being stupid.

[–] Lakes@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I have 20+ lesions in my brain due to MS. I don't poop a lot, so I can see this being true.

[–] Son_of_dad@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Coffee twice a day and raisin bran for breakfast, looks like I'm doing well

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I'm on medication which slows my bowel habits and I really do need to be on it. I wonder if it's the same for me/other people who have that.
