For me, I like forests because they don't have thousands of cars driving through them which makes them nice and quiet.

And not many people either.
Of course. Humans are not born to live in square apartments next to noisy and ugly things.
The forest is absolutely beautiful and spiritually healing.
Humans can't even make anything as beautiful as a tree. We just make square things and blocks. We like when things are in a straight line with equal height and width. We like symmetry in everything.
But real beauty is the forest.
Humans can make beautiful things, even beautiful architecture, just look in a museum. It's just they're not going for beauty when designing residential housing, usually.
Humans can't even make anything as beautiful as a tree. We just make square things and blocks.
Counterpoint: Islamic architecture and Art Nouveau. To be fair, both are heavily inspired by nature.
What do you mean 'real beauty'? I don't see any means to consider 'beauty' as anything but subjective, existing only in the eyes of the beholder.
Well..
Are you sure you aren't just drawn to big red dots?
No not really.
I've heard this is common to humans. A clearing, with a forest and visible water is generally a "perfect" spot for people, and why there are so many paintings of such a place.
Yes but I think I have an idea as to why. I'm a mechanic by trade so my day is making sure everything is within spec or functioning properly. In the woods everything is chaos but it's supposed to be; it's novel. The solitude is a bonus.
I live in a forest so yes!
Me too!
Forest gang, represent!
Absolutely. If I didn't need to work I'd buy a plot in the woods and build myself a cabin and live there away from other people.
Yes, I've always loved forests. Would love to live near one.
I grew up near lakes and forests, so there's nothing weird about it.
That's not weird, it's human nature. Look up forest bathing.
It's nature calling. Forests are the way. Not roads and cities.
Absolutely. Would love to live next to one.
I love forests, they are quiet enough to be calming yet active enough to not be overwhelming and I get more exercise and I also remember things better
sorry, we cut them all down – best we can do is these weird algae billboards …
Better than nothing I guess.
I moved to the country side and lived on a farm for a year or so. It was nice, but got very boring after a while. Now I prefer to live in the city and escaye to the wilderness on my bicycle
Yes! I've recently bought a house that has a forest on one side and the city on the other. It's great! I take daily walks on the trails in the woods.
Not really. I feel a drive to live in a city in spite of not liking crowds. Really what I want is good public transport and internet connection... unfortunately my options for that appear to be live in a city or leave the continent.
Yeah, I feel weirdly drawn to forests and I like being near one.
Yes! But with oceans.
Love forests! Apart from the mosquitoes...
I'm weirdly drawn to halloween as a 36 year old man. I don't have a diagnosis but my children do. My partner insists that I have it too based on my behaviors but idk, I don't fully see it?
Oh YES! Long before the diagnosis.
I do live near one and have never been more content
Yes. Wouldn’t say “weirdly” though.
I dislike crowds.
I often get tired of the idea of that I am a being that can be observed.
I like looking at nature and daydreaming.
Forests feel unrestricting without feeling too open.
I would probably feel somewhat uncomfortable living too far away from any kind of forest.
