Airbnb's are simply much more profitable than long term rentals. That needs to change, somehow (so landlords have more of a decision to make before throwing all their weight behind Airbnb).

Airbnb rentals should be subject to safety inspections for things like fire hazards / egress and if there's a kitchen food safety, inspect for mould and fungus, etc.

Whatever inspections and certifications a hotel needs, an Airbnb should be required to pass the same.

The folks who own these properties are Ken Sim's voters so I doubt anything is going to actually change.
