Assuming you have multiple VR platforms accessible (Quest, PSVR, PC) and a game you want to play releases on all, where do you buy it on and why?

I play exclusively on PC with a quest pro using virtual desktop.

I have all my games on steam and i don't like buying games on the meta platform since i know i won't be there forever compared with steam that i know my next headset will support that for sure.

PC has the most powerful GPU and CPU, so on PC is best

Well, I only buy on PC because buying on Quest limits me in the future and they could pull the game at any time. But I prefer playing directly on my Quest 1 because then I don't have to mess with cables or a potentially spotty wifi connections.

My PCVR games have been played on the Vive, Quest 1,Quest 2, and Pico4. Purchasing on any other platform would mean I'd have to buy a game each time I upgrade my headset.

I buy on meta store as I usually have a ton of referral discounts. If it has enhanced graphics I'll play the pcvr cross play version over virtual desktop. I think the performance is actually better than the steam version with the VD openxr runtime.

PC, Steam. I can play it on most of the VR devices. Modern VR titles use OpenXR, so if I have ex. a Quest 3 then those games use Meta's native drivers, no need to run SteamVR between them

For me, for almost all games I prefer playing them on Quest. It’s usually cheaper (discounts and also sending my own referral to others), it’s super easy to try and return games, and it’s by far the least friction from deciding I want to play to actually playing.

PSVR I prefer for single player seater experiences (gran turismo for example), where I’m absolutely sure I’ll want to play. It’s really annoying that I can’t return games, the headset itself is much less comfortable over time, I need to pay a subscription to play online, and I hate having the cable dangling around. That said, the games look so much better and the headset haptics and especially adaptive triggers are insanely nice.

My graphics card on PC isn’t the strongest and it’s the most friction to start that up, so I never really bother with that.
