Socialism

Beehaw's community for socialists, communists, anarchists, and non-authoritarian leftists (this means anti-capitalists) of all stripes. A place for all leftist and labor news and discussion, as long as you're nice about it.

Non-socialists are welcome to come to learn, though it's hard to get to in-depth discussions if the community is constantly fighting over the basics. We ask that non-socialists please be respectful and try not to turn this into a "left vs right" debate forum by asking leading questions or by trying to draw others into a fight.

I am very glad to see this here because the problem is NOT hard to solve at all. There is a collective inertia about the whole thing. By solving the housing problems in Amurica, we reduce stress levels, build communities, reduce crime. Mental health issues can be significantly lessened by stable housing and stable communities. I mean it just goes on and on. Thank you for sharing this.

Solving homelessness would take away one of capitalism's biggest sticks for disciplining the poor.

Why, thank you. But wait, which subreddit? I wasn't even subbed to r/socialism

Ah, makes sense. Glad to be here.

I cannot argue against that point!

It is hard because of the lack of "political will". No idea what to do about that or how to do it. ~Strawberry
