Makes total sense. I’m a longtime Seeger fan. It’s just an excellent genre that I feel is often misrepresented by learning the most inane versions in grade school. They didn’t even teach us the really subversive parts of the one Woody Guthrie song we learned. It also doesn’t help that we weren’t really taught the background to it.

Sorry, "filk" is apparently the name for "sci-fi folk", not a typo. I don't know why it's called that.

Ok I looked it up on Wikipedia and these are my people apparently. All the way down to Ohioans with banjos and a love of sci fi debauchery and anarchism. I’ve never been to a con, but as I see this I’d be shocked if I don’t know any filkers.
