This is 1158 * 0.8" exposures along with 50 dark and 50 flat frames stacked with Siril. Shot with my Sony A7Cii and a Hasselblad 350mm f/5.6.

Beyond what I mentioned in the OP, I did a background extraction, denoise, and stretch in Siril, and an extra denoise and levels adjustment in darktable.

Hi!

nice photo 👏🏻 I have just downloaded Siril, and I want to do something similar to this, but I have two Siril related questions because I think they are a lot of photos to stack and I am not sure my Macbook can do the job:

  • How long did it take you to process it?
  • Did you use a "normal" laptop or do you have a powerful graphic card?

I have a pretty powerful PC but it seems that writing the files is the bottleneck. The actual processing is pretty fast but it would take about an hour to save new versions of all the 1200 files when I would convert, calibrate, and register.
