Is it more recurrent then you think. They arent just open doors, tho. And on female football, sometimes the national teams plays against some male teams to prepare Euros or World cups.

My team Dunfermline Athletic, once played (and beat) the New Zealand national side. Sadly, it was an away game, so I couldn't quite make it in person :-)
We played them again a few days later, but lost this time.
I thought it was so weird! Nothing is sacred!
