Beehaw's community for socialists, communists, anarchists, and non-authoritarian leftists (this means anti-capitalists) of all stripes. A place for all leftist and labor news and discussion, as long as you're nice about it.

Non-socialists are welcome to come to learn, though it's hard to get to in-depth discussions if the community is constantly fighting over the basics. We ask that non-socialists please be respectful and try not to turn this into a "left vs right" debate forum by asking leading questions or by trying to draw others into a fight.

I'm new to lemmy so I've been trying to find new communities to join with regards to socialist/leftist politics. I've discovered quite a few on lemmygrad but found that I don't really align ideologically with many people on that instance. Are there any communities outside of lemmygrad that you guys really like and would suggest joining?

On Mastodon it's a different story, but for Lemmy specifically I opted to build my own instead.

I'm currently a part of a bunch of anarchistic ones, because I find anarchism the most complete approach to egalitarian freedom, they are not especially active: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/anarchism@lemmy.ca https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/anarchism@slrpnk.net https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/anarchism https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/anarchism@lemmy.fmhy.ml https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/anarchism@lemmy.ml
