Solarpunk themed fiction. Books, short stories, movies, games... pretty much anything you can dream of!

I especially enjoy reading examples of how Solarpunk principles have been applied in the real world, or fiction that breaks down my own mental barriers about whether a better world is possible. So, I started this reading list to document my favorites. It's starting to grow as a community project, so if you want to make a contribution you're welcome.

Happy reading!

Monk and robot series has been pretty enjoyable for me.

I just finished the second one yesterday, I really enjoyed them too :) The world felt very sweet and cozy & I liked the latent queerness of the series. I was also a fan of the writers take on robot consciousness, it was refreshing to see them imagined as curious, illogical, and mortal creatures.

I felt the same, looking forward reading more of Becky Chambers!

Thanks for sharing, its a super great list, I already downloaded a few. I especially enjoy fiction that explores how solarpunk principles could look when put into action.

I cant figure out how to follow/interact with the list from my lemmy account, so i just saved the webpage lol. Iff anyone has any tips on making that work without creating another account, im all ears :)

Oooo neat :) I really look forward to the various branches of the fediverse becoming easier to interact with as the UI continues being developed
