Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Since 2022, nine states where Republican officials administer elections have quit a nonprofit, nonpartisan consortium that helps keep voter rolls up to date through interstate data exchange. They did so amid pressure from former president Donald Trump, who claimed in March that the consortium “pumps the rolls” for Democrats. Consequently, voter rolls in those states are less accurate, and it’s becoming harder to detect the small number of people who improperly vote in multiple states. Indeed, as 2024 begins, these same election officials find themselves spending taxpayer dollars to re-create the very tools that the system they abandoned had provided.

"The last election wasn't a fraud, but this one sure will be. By us."

"thanks for the idea"

They’re gonna recruit a horde of people who will conspire with the former President under the pretenses that “they’re cheating too, so we have to as well” and then they’ll get pardoned once Trump is back in office. This is like season 1 of designated survivor except it’s somehow worse

Republicans when they find out they can't blatantly cheat:

Fine, I didn't want to win anyway

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

Except this new behavior is all part of a larger plan for conservatives to cheat on an even larger scale.

Fascism has never been defeated by pacifism. A conservative infestation will never go away on its own. When they look like they are retreating, brace yourself. They cannot stop being evil. It is who they are at their core.

It’s all part of the plan. These R states exit ERIC, their voter data gets completely fucked, and then they say “look at how fucked up our voter data is! We need to do a massive purge of our voter rolls!” And then they proceed to purge everyone in blue and purple counties. Rinse and repeat until there are no statewide democrats.

the people in charge dont actually believe there are election integrity issues. its just an issue they can utilize as propaganda to control their voting base.

they wanted it to be contentious, like abortion. but when normal humans agree, and want to constructively work together towards a common goal of 'election integrity' whether it exists or not, the GOP will bail. they dont need solutions. they dont need the dog to catch the car.

they just need very ignorant, angry voters that can be led around by the brass ring in their noses called 'republican'

How do we volunteer to make sure this doesn't happen? Cuz I'll be damned if I'm allowing president drink bleach and his merry band of chucklefucks to steal this one.

[–] FarFarAway@startrek.website 11 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Umm... I resent you calling him president drink bleach.

He's president inject bleach.

This is why criminal convictions of people who vote in multiple states are so important
