I’ve been trying to use Magic Earth more often as a Google Maps replacement. Occasionally I’ll find something that isn’t mapped and then I’ll go map it.

Magic earth is the best but having no to little traffic info make it useless
I don’t use the traffic data that often (basically never) but it seems just fine to me. I’m not getting any more or any less that I would with Google Maps
Not able to see closed roads for months is not ideal navigation but other than that magic earth is the best navigation app
I use it for bus and train times (when the trains are not on strike)
I mainly use Offroad map style in osmand. This is because I mainly use the app for hiking/walking and this is thr map style which is the best for that IMHO.
I use osmand with brouter routing engine and cycloroute map skin for cycling. I will use magic earth for local bus and train times, and for shop opening times
I use JOSM to add features in the map, last time I used it I was contributing the local bus routes in my area.
