I think it's the same problem as youtube. Words like rape and pedophile lowers ad value on the article.
Aw man, I didn't notice until you pointed it out. Why is news media always so reluctant to say rape even when the rapist has been convicted?
Harming a child like that is probably the worst thing one person can ever do to another.
Reading the article suggests the mother of the child was complicit? Am I reading that right? If so, she should absolutely be charged as well.
