Apologies for the bad photo but I finally saw a monarch after a few years of diligently avoiding all milkweed plants in the garden. I'm so excited to see such a beautiful creature!

Wrong Species or wrong zone can be harmful to butterflies
We planted a milkweed right next to our porch so we could watch the monarch circle of life, and had our first caterpillars last summer. It was so fun!
