Any idea for what to use as a media manager? I'm getting ready to go on a small trip and I would like to be able to import all my videos/pictures from an SD card and have them filed based on the meta data. At least by date. I've always done this manually and it's not awful, but there has to be a better way.

On what platform? Laptop? Phone? Raspberry Pi hooked up to a TV?

Wait, I think I've misunderstood what you meant by "media". If you essentially want a self-sorting photo gallery, I'm afraid I have nothing to offer. Sorry.

Photoprism is really quite nice for a containerized solution.

For mostly photos I'm a big fan of Digicam
