Hey thank you. Normally i wouldn't post often, but i thought it would be good to keep the posts here going, woul like to see this succeed here on lemmy.
This is beautiful
It really was. View to the other side is also amazing.
Looks stunning. Everytime I get on my bike, I just want to keep on pedalling, wherever it may take me.
Absolutely stunning, I am so jealous. Must be some hella climbs touring in Switzerland, hope you keep posting pics on here whenever you're resting your legs :)
I will post more but i don't want to clutter the sub (sub? What's it called on lemmy?) with my posts. Today and next days i'm gonna do some more supposedly fantastic passes, haha. The plan is to stay in the alps and move eastwards, but who knows, plans change.
Hey no worries, it's still pretty new here and it's not like we're drowning in content. The bar for entry is pretty low (and honestly I hope we keep it that way).
Plus, if anyone here sees a great picture from a dope tour like this and doesn't enjoy it, I'd recommend they go for a ride to clear their head, clearly they have something else on their mind bothering them!
Where I live it's flat so this is so beautiful and yet terrifying!
I live in the flat too, i get excited by the view of the smallest rock already. When i started touring i thought i could not ride anywhere near mountains because i felt rolling hills were killing me already. But then i got kinda bored riding along a river and tried cycling in some mellower mountains and liked it much better. Especially if there's hardly any traffic. Ever since i try to do my tours where there's mountains.
If you take your time, low gearing, you'll eventually be up there. Have a snack, drink a coke. Enjoy the view and fresh air
edit: I also don't train cycling at home or anything, don't think riding to the pub and supermarket counts. But of course it wouldn't hurt either. Now i am in good shape though, since i've been a good two weeks into the tour.
I am lucky enough to live in Switzerland, although in the North near the German border. It is very scenic. Love this place. (born and raised in Canada)
