Real jokes are always in the comments

“Reddit’s not a place, never was. It is a people”

[–] dustojnikhummer@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Even without the joke yeah. What is a platform without its users and its content? What is the point of /r/pics if it only has one picture (this is honestly the better way to protest rather than shutting it down lol)

It's not that your request is awaiting moderation, it's just a server issue. Click on it again until it says subscribe and try again. If it stays at pending, just abort and try another day.

Tldr leaving it on pending will not resolve.

I can't believe I didnt think to turn it off and back on again. 🙃

However yeah it just went right back to 'subscribe pending', so I'll be back!

Clearly its not preventing my participation, either way.

Same with me too, seems like some instances take longer to subscribe

[–] vyvanse@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

I get so embarrassed when I call IT and I forgot to turn it off and back on again 🥲

Probably me not understanding how it works, but most lemmy.ml communities I subscribed to have this "subscribe pending" but I can still interact with them, just like you did with this thread. So I guess it's just a display issue and we are actually subscribed to those communities?

[–] sbv@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I see that as well. As long as I can interact, I guess I don't care (I care).

[–] AlmightySnoo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

yeah just act as if you belong there and no one will notice 👀

[–] lrabbt@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

It's "federation lag", if you insist, or try another time it will subscribe for good eventually

[–] lixus98@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

Click it multiple times and it should change to subscribed

[–] Veedems@kbin.social 3 points 1 year ago

More like “Lemmy in” amirite?

[–] reflex@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Us Kbin users over here like:

lmao this is the first Instance vs Instance meme I see and I'm all for it

[–] ChrV@kbin.social 2 points 1 year ago

Some banter between instances will be funny as long as it stays that way and doesn't transform into a "war".
