I DIY'd a hydroponic tower, and I suspect not having grow lights made it more likely for mold to grow (and less likely for tasty greens).

I'm installing some grow lights and will do a deep clean, but do y'all think the current crop is edible? There's no mold on the plants, only in the coconut coir...

Air circulation is more of a factor for mold than light. As long as the mold is only in the moist coir and not on the greenery, the greenery is fine to eat.

Congrats on the first growth cycle!

Good to know, thanks! I'll try to get a bit more airflow where it's set up.
