Maaan anime on an old CRT TV at 1am really hit different.
Or maybe it’s because back then I was staying up for fun and not from the crushing weight of existence.
…no it was definitely the CRT.

Go out and buy a CRT. Chase that dragon.
I honestly would if I had the shelf space for it in my apartment.
…unless I swap out my PC monitor for a CRT…🤔
Look for one with svideo or component. 2001 & newer Sony usually had them in my experience
Do it, and install old games and forget for a second you are adult with responsabilities.
I'm grateful that the crushing weight of existence is an instant sleep aid for me.
I can fall asleep at will, any time of day or night,
and the more stressed-out I am, the more instantaneously I can drift into sleep. I sleep through a lot of existential angst.
I have the most lovely dreams. Every time I fall asleep, such kaleidoscopic cinematic lovely peaceful dreams.
See You Space Cowboy...
Still one of the best gut punch endings of all time.
What a way to send off The Beatles though
All of Watanabe's series endings have been thoroughly excellent.
Dude can really spin a tale.
Yeah, CRTs are pretty heavy
And the weight distribution is somehow unpredictable no matter how many times you carry one.
A LONG TIME
Whatever happens, happens...
