No one has volunteered to make a Beehaw theme yet I guess.

I'd make one, but we don't have a CrappyDesign community to post the screenshots on.
I'd make one if it's wanted but that was mostly a joke.
I want it
So you're developing a bee theme? Cool!
I think I'm going to. Lemmy just uses bootstrap so it won't be too hard.
Most bee species are actually solitary bees, and many of those species are all black, black and red, other subtle colors and could be mistaken for a weird fly, and so on.
That said the avatar is clearly the black and yellow one would expect so your point stands lol.
Really? You learn something new every day.
Go hex or go home (just not the bear)
What don't you like about hexbear? They can be really extreme but many things they do have points on.
I don’t have anything against them, just a cryptic reference for those in the know e.g they had hex in the title and I was riffing on bees. Nice UI. :D
Ah :)
Hexagons are the Bestagons
(if you know, you know)
Most honeybee breeds aren't actually yellow and black but rather dark brown and grey. Some breeds may be in part orange/yellow and grey, either the odd individual or whole hives. An orange/grey variety might be the preferred breed used in your area, though. The stylised insect used as an icon here looks more like a wasp. :-)
