Glass Cannon has a bunch of great actual play podcasts in a number of different systems. Some better than others but all really well produced.

Also third season of Fantasy high is coming in 2024. (Youtube. Dimension 20)

Thanks! In 10 years when I'm finally caught up on Critical Role, I'll want another TTRPG podcast to follow.

[–] funkyb@ttrpg.network 2 points 1 year ago

Word. I'm trying to follow CR, watch through Drakkenheim, and start Oxventure. But my Drakkenheim watching has been on pause for two months and I only manage to keep up with the one odd OX games like BitD and Deadlands.

Tabletop Gold is another that IMO is very worth listening to. It's a PF2E podcast. The players and GM have great chemistry

I've played the original Pathfinder many years ago and 2E seems great. I might check this out just for that reason alone. We need more people exposed to systems besides D&D.

[–] bionicjoey@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 year ago

It's a great podcast for learning the system. The GM takes the time to explain whenever weird rules come up, since one of the players is new to the game

Some I enjoy, in no particular order:

  • Not Another D&D Podcast (D&D)
  • The Lost Mountain and Other Sagas (Vaesen)
  • Pretending to Be People (Delta Green)

This didn’t include Brian Posehn’s Nerd Poker, and I’m offended by that.

I think I've seen that one before but it never looked enticing enough.

These are not the only ones I listen to, just the ones I would say are the most enjoyable ones. But I might be weird in that I find even popular stuff sometimes grating (I don't think I managed a whole episode of CR yet for example before switching it off)

[–] MrFappy@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I’d definitely suggest giving it a shot, just because it’s very informal and like a home game should be.

I'd throw Find The Path (Pathfinder 1e and Pathfinder 2e. They have a high focus on rp) in here alongside Cosmic Crit (Starfinder, a little rough early on). I've been finding both pretty entertaining.

High Rollers dnd! They will be starting their 3rd campaign on twitch on the 5th of Nov.

All their episodes are in podcast format too. Both their previous 2 campaigns are outstanding too!

Another one I love is MNmaxed. Great characters and the players are all fun people. Primarily Pathfinder 2e content.

+1 for Fear the Boot!

Been listening to them since around episode 40, about 15 years ago I think. It's insane to me that Dan & Co. has kept the podcast running so long.

3D6 Down the Line has the best OSR actual plays out there. Pretty darn good production values too. As they say, they are criminally under watched.
