Fun thing about this is NPR and PBS will very soon have very solid data on how that affects their readership and visits and clicks and all. This is going to be very entertaining, I expect.
Technology
A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.
Remember the overriding ethos on Beehaw: Be(e) Nice. Each user you encounter here is a person, and should be treated with kindness (even if they’re wrong, or use a Linux distro you don’t like). Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

It's time to revive that NPR mastodon account! https://mstdn.social/@NPR
Uh!? If that's the case there's an issue with mastodon's verified thingy.
@Hirom Not necessarily; it's not an actual verified account, that's just a custom emoji
Sigh..
for future reference, you can check if a Mastodon profile is verified by if one of the links in the profile shows up green with a checkmark. an official NPR Mastodon account would have a link to npr.org at the top that would be green (instead of purple) with a green checkmark next to it.
here's what the Texas Observer's verified "contact us" link looks like:
And more media outlets will soon follow.
