I’m sitting here listening to 3/9/81 and wondering what are your favorite Althea’s?

I saw 3/15/90 and 9/12/90 and like them both a lot, but I feel like there are some scorchers I’m missing from the 80s that weren’t on official releases. I have been going through heady version list as well but sometimes there are some overlooked gems! Thanks!

I wish I was still in contact with the guitarist from my old band 20+ years ago. We covered Althea often because it was his all-time favorite tune to play on guitar. He would have taken one quick glance at the heady version list and likely had several more obscure but amazing recordings to recommend..

Like him or not, it's also interesting the story that hearing Althea playing got John Mayer into the Dead.

3-21-81 at the Rainbow theatre is pretty good. But then again, all of 81 Altheas are tops.
