I remember when I first saw Graham. I was so excited that I immediately homebrewed him into my D&D campaign as a playable human subrace. I felt so hopeful that one day we could genetically engineer ourselves into something as cool as Graham.

I don't think this was the intended reaction.

Aw man I completely forgot about Graham?

How did the subrace work? Resistance to bludgeoning damage and a +50 to all charisma checks?

Basically imagine if a tabaxi and a dwarf had a baby. +3 con as its only modifier, the tabaxi's lunge but only as a reaction, +1 to AC unless wearing heavy armor.

This is a model of what a human would look like if we were evolved to withstand a car accident without supplemental restraints and safety systems

So this is our future if we keep letting drunken idiots mow down our children. Fascinating.

I know that, I was trying to express that OP's opinion is gross and I don't understand it

The word choice of "subrace" is definitely not great but I could see this being used as inspiration for a fantasy creature.

Oh. Yeah, it's kinda weird to integrate this into a D&D campaign

There's all kinds of mutated body horror creatures in ttrpg's it's not that weird.

I'm working on a half-slug half-man adventure module for instance.
