This is such a dumb issue to be upset about. Telling that they don't have laws about women competing in men's sports.

Why not just make it so everyone competes together whatever their gender? Then just group by ability like they do in most sports with minor league classes or something like that.

Now that's an idea!

Also not really sure where to post this and this community is not very active so may repost elsewhere.

This is not a "sports ban", its simply that people have to compete with others of the same biological gender. Otherwise, whats the point of having separate mens and womens sports?

Why bother separating by gender at all?

Better yet, fuck school sports entirely. Huge waste of money and effort.

Sports are usually separated by sex, not gender. It's not a social thing, it's a physical class. Whether it's an effective one is debatable (like you suggested, I'm in favor of mixed-sex sports just grouping by ability), but that's what it is, just like weight categories in other sports.

Those class separations exist to introduce competitiveness to classes that might have different advantages or disadvantages.

How so? Physical activities are a good tool for general education, they encourage students to be physically active and skilled, explore a variety of activities they may not have had a chance to be involved in, and helps them learn to co-operate as teams. Unless you're talking about some US thing like professional college sports, which is absolutely a huge waste.

Instead of considering testosterone levels or the length of time an athlete has been medically transitioning, HB 151 would be an all-out ban of transgender girls and women from playing women’s sports.

This is interesting, as it seemingly wouldn't impact naturally intersex students who may share many of the physical traits associated with males while being considered by the sports staff to be female.

"Allowing biological males to compete against biological females is a discriminatory policy [...]"

Pretty sure that's the exact opposite of discrimination.
