Dude claims he has actual physical proof of aliens in our solar system...

But he won't show it to anyone

Because it's not real

This is a frustrating topic to discuss since on one hand there's not much conclusive evidence, but plenty of suggestive circumstantial evidence.

IF this is real, then the evidence is likely held by the governments and therefore any progress in public understanding would be driven by politics rather than science.

What makes me skeptical is how this would be kept secret world-wide. Ok, the US government conceivably could, but there are likely many countries which should have strong evidence in their hands, and it seems unlikely that they all could successfully coordinate on this for so long, across regime changes etc.

I guess it makes sense for the public to remain skeptical until the findings are confirmed. Yes; "Science must bring clarity". Debate will not.

Avi Loeb is a pathetic crackpot hack who is abusing his prestigious academia position to flood journals with worthless papers. He really needs to be ignored by society at large because he has no clue what he is talking about.

Let Angela explain everything to you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY985qzn7oI

Loeb is based and people who think UFOs or potential interstellar material readily retrievable at the seabed shouldn't be studied is out of his/her mind.

Here is some info on the few studies conducted on UAP so far. NASA is starting research on them as well but likely won't bring nearly as much as Garry Nolan's study of materials did or the Galileo Project will. I have good faith in this community, I think most people aren't so narrow-minded ignorant.

What the fuck is this site's fascination with this nonsense? In all my time on Reddit, moronic UFO content got the attention it deserved and was downvoted all to hell. It would rarely enter my home page. On Lemmy? Seems like every other day some idiot is posting ufo fairytales that get enough attention to make a regular appearance in my feed.
