MODERATORS
This actually is a recurring problem in medicine. Where people saying they are ill but no cause found it is often blamed on hysteria/mental health… until a cause is found.
Ie. Peptic ulcers, Lupus, MS, all blamed on psychology, before we found something wrong in the body.
