…is choice paralysis. I have not played in the last couple of days just because I can’t make up my mind about what to do next in a section where two quests are happening the same place and I don’t want to risk screwing them up. I can’t make up my mind and just commit (I’m being vague because I don’t want to risk spoilers for Act 2).

Yeah, I had the same problem too. The solution for small choices? Save your game. Make a choice and then reload if you don’t like the outcome. I plan on playing through the game again and making different choices for the big ones since some choices will affect the entire game.

I take it you’re still pretty early-on in the story? I don’t recall too many time-sensitive events in act 1 (aside from something that might occur in a particular burning building), but again - your game might look a lot different from mine based on the choices we’ve made.

I’ll say this: I was able to tackle basically every quest in act 1 (and I did them all afaik) in basically whichever order I chose. I didn’t screw anything up irreparably.

Actually, I reckon I’m about halfway through. I’m the middle of Act 2 now, and stumbled onto the gauntlet of Shar and got almost all the way through it before the game told me if I did the next part, it would cut off some quests and cause big changes. So I left and headed to Moonrise Tower and am worried about if saving the tieflings now will screw up my infiltration of the base.

I didn’t do the githyanki crèche so I’m trying to decide if I should leave the tower and do that, or do it afterwards.

I swear, this is why I suck at open world games. Linear works for me!

I just killed all the baddies I could in Moonrise Tower and the prison. Easy to get the tieflings out when all the guards were dead. Just do everything you want to before entering the depths of the Shar part as it's a point of no return.

I'm not sure if it was entirely intended, but there sure are a lot of ledges in moonrise towers. It would be a shame if some people just happened to fall to their death.

My favorite ledge moment was when I realized a certain vampire lord decided to have his boss fight surrounded by a bottomless pit...

I’m actually in the middle of the gauntlet of Shar rn so I’m not sure how that plays out, but I did already rescue everyone from moonrise. Avoiding spoilers - there’s a potential interaction in moonrise that sends you on a mission to the gauntlet anyway, so I may backtrack to moonrise if I were you.

As for the Crèche, that’s technically part of act 1 and I did it before coming to the shadowfell. No idea if you are able to go back and do it after going to act 2, but if you are able to, I recommend it.

This is a test. This is only a test.

Edit: Test worked! The post federated, which it did not do because of random kbin weirdness. I’m leaving the comment just in case, along with my liking the post while I was troubleshooting and trying ideas to get it to federate. I don’t wanna jinx this so up it stays.

That's my problem in every game with choices. You wouldn't believe how many times they rolled the tutorial just to make sure that us was on the up and up.
