I am quite dubious that they actually produced a solar cell. Typically the good single crystal silicon ones get 0.5 V not 5 V. The physics here don't make sense. These are really things that are better left to mass production.

well mass production certainly is a great deal more energy efficient than individual production. But it is always useful for the magic of how things could be made to be revealed.
Whioe you are most definitely right, it's at least a starting point (even if it's really ineeficient)
It's a shame this doesn't work for very long, the video description explains it stops working after several hours
