It doesn't seem particularly off-brand for him; 2022: https://dailycitizen.focusonthefamily.com/intel-ceo-pat-gelsingers-favorite-question-may-i-pray-for-you/ (disclaimer: the site's URL probably tells you what to expect from the rest of what they publish)
In fact, Gelsinger told those gathered that he’s prayed with more than 10,000 executives and individuals during his time at Intel.
Tbh I find it almost.. nice, or endearing, or something? that he's not just being completely hypocritical / inconsistent about his beliefs like I'm used to seeing lol
Makes sense. I never heard about this before, that's why I thought this was some random twitter post out of the blue.

Matthew 6:5-6 (NIV): "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
No wonder Intel has been on a bad trend. A CEO who prays rather than fixes thing isn't great
