Wow, way to take the whole thing out of context with those initial clips.

The first part of the video focuses on CIG talking about how the core tech for server meshing worked. Then it transitions to the recent video posted today where they were discussing RMQ and all of the issues that they ran into once they tried to scale up the servers to handle hundreds of players.

These are 2 very different things and this video is either purposefully misrepresenting what was being said, or else they are doing a terrible job at understanding what is being talked about.

Either way I would not rely on "Jack Reacher" being a reliable source of information on any video game if this is the kind of content he puts out.

seems to me that this Jack Reacher is a rage baiter just like ~~Caracal~~Camural, but atleast ~~Caracal~~ (is he still banned from Spectrum?) has some idea what he's ranting about.

in addendum: apparently my comment "defending" CIG was deleted by that creator. So much for honesty.

For a second I thought you were talking about Camural. I'll have to look into some of Caracal's videos. As long as he's done some decent research and has valid criticism it's probably worth watching.

Oh, ok. I didn't realize he had been banned at one point on Spectrum. Doesn't look like it now since he was posting on there earlier today: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/search?member=Camural (Link is currently messed up, you'll need to remove then re-add his name to see)

I do like most of his videos, he definitely points out a lot of valid concerns, although there are definitely a few that I disagree with him on.
