I'd be interested to know how big.a proportion of vsrious styles of pizza's grease can actually be removed with a napkin.
Wouldn't be surprised if some pepperoni pizzas release much more than 0.5% of their grease to pool on top.
Alternatively, I ate at a Cici's the other day that didn't have anything pooled on top but I bet if I'd squeezed a piece I could have cut the calorie count in half.
Yeah, I'm not surprised some people do it. I've never done it myself though, it's kind of the point of some kinds of pizza, I like foods sauced in flavorful oils.
What in the everloving fuck do you Americans do to your pizzas that makes them be so greasy that you can wipe it off????

If you cook the meats you're going to use a little bit prior to putting them on the whole pie before going in the oven, there's a lot less grease from it.

If we're talking that shitty highschool cafeteria pizza, I swear doing this made it taste better.
To hell with calories or fitness or any of that crap - it's the noms that matter.
There’s a pizza chain by me that is, imho, so greasy as to be inedible without soaking off half the grease.. and yet it exists.. people pay money for it. They haven’t gone out of business.
So at least it’s not just shitty school food I guess…? 😒
