I think everyone collectively agrees hiatus > padded content. I stopped watching around whole cake island because episodes we're going a quarter chapter. I'm glad their finally starting to see this, I'm guessing the previous approach was starting to lose viewership or just not be as profitable as it used to be.

Which is one of the reasons why I typically recommend One Pace over the actual series to people. It fixes just about all of the issues I had with watching the series. It also makes it easier to get caught up if you've lagged pretty far behind the weekly schedule.
Thanks kind stranger! Just started the series and found onepace•me
what's one pace? Just the main story?
It's a fan made project that cuts out the recaps, the filler arcs, and most of the OP and ED sequences, keeping one of each at the beginning/end of each arc. It then condenses a lot of the story arcs and reorders some events to (mostly) fix the pacing issues of One Piece and cut down on the run time while preserving the original story.
They've got a website out there, but I can't link to it here, since it's technically a pirate site. No pun intended. It should come up with a google search though.
okay, that's great to know about. I'm always looking for supercuts, are there any other supercuts of super long anime like Naruto or bleach, because I started watching them and then I'm like fuck off. I'm not doing 900 episodes of maybe filler, I just want the story of premise I enjoy.
a fan project that cuts out everything thats not in the manga. so all the filler, but also added reaction shots etc. are gone
okay, thanks. how much does that cut the series down?
They say it's about 40% faster to watch. Which they say currently saves about 150 hours.
40% of it is filler? damn.
I'm always looking around for these supercuts, I'd love one of Naruto or bleach, I feel like half of naruto is unwatchable filler.
look for a list of filler episodes and just skip them, works pretty well for naruto and bleach
okay. did those series ever end?
haha, I don't really want to watch 500 episodes and then wait for the hollowing chapters.
the manga for both of them ended, and the anime of naruto is over, too. the original anime of bleach has concluded as well, but it doesnt cover the entire story. the last arc is currently being animated as a separate anime called bleach: thousand year blood war, and i doubt it will have any filler
I stopped watching Naruto when I think the original anime came out, and I didn't finish the one where they were Even teenagers, but there were several seasons of that right?
have you watched the complete series for those two? do you think they're worth the time investment?
naruto: shippuden is almost as long as the original series, i think.
its been over a decade since i watched those shows, and dont think i could really tell you wether they are worth or not. i also didnt check out the new bleach anime, since im mostly out of anime at this point, with the exception of one piece and maybe a season of something else every 1-2 years.
got it.
thanks for the context, I appreciate it.
I made it up to like 950 then stopped.
- episodes were* going
- glad they're* finally starting
Thanks, no-tits!
The One Piece (hiatus) is real! :o
There's over a thousand issues now right? I think they deserved a break.
This works out perfectly for me. I started watching the anime a few months ago, but I lost steam around halfway through, so this gives me some time to take a break before catching up!
You watched 500 episodes in a couple months?
I watched from 1 to like 1040 over the course of a month or so. I had more free time back then.
3, but yeah. I'd have them on while I was working since the pacing is pretty easy to follow. Plus I'd read the manga back in the early 2000's, so I could remember the major plot points well enough without needing to devote my full attention.
Well usually it's supposed to take less than a month so he's not really doing anything impressive. 12 days of watch time when there are 30 days in a month. Assuming you sleep for 8 hours, you even have around 4 hours left for various activities!
Woah a fishman island remaster that fixes the sound, visuals, AND PACING?
honestly very interested in what the recut Fishman Island will be. I think that arc is probably the worst one in the anime, but I really love a lot of the characters, Fisher Tyger especially. I'm actually interested in seeing it touched up.
