Contact year. He has to play or no NBA.

Not worth what they are paying even if he comes back a MVP player this year. But as an expiring contact might help in a trade to clear future cap space for some other team.

Not knocking his injuries but it's sport. You either play or become no one. Think what happened to Isaiah Thomas.
