How much time until we it is practical to daily run it on our personal Linux systems for real? 2025?

The industry is moving quickly. SBCs with RISC-V are already arriving. Arm is getting more expensive, which makes me think that your next Pi might be powered by risc. If you're ready to replace your desktop with NUC, I bet next year you'll able to purchase it
