They should have just taken the chance to detain him there, but no one seems to care because there's too much powerful support for genocide in the West.

The people who walked out work for other government. They can do a lot more than walk out. They can issue sanctions which force divestments.

That is within their ability to do... however, US would likely retaliate and most countries are not in any position to take on US in any sort of trade war or other diplomatic circle jerks.
With that being said, US punishing these countries, esp if a critical mass of countries did it, would be very costly from propaganda perspective... it already is.
