Bentley, a 64-year-old self-identified communist from Dallas, Texas, joined pro-Russian separatists in 2014 to combat Ukrainian forces. He went missing in the Russian-occupied city of Donetsk in April and was subsequently discovered dead.
Did he not know that Russia isn't communist?!

Tankies aren't communist. Neither are leninists. Their only ideological stance is to be anti west/America. Even if that means aiding fascists whom they have more in common with anyhow. Of which there's historical precedence.

The four soldiers were arrested and will likely serve their sentence through forced military service on their tank. So yeah...
