I want to register my Newfoundland for one of these just for the entertainment value of her taking nearly a full minute to ~run~ plod 100 yards.

it's such a fun event, and i've seen all kinds of dogs do it! as long as she has good recall at the end, i'd say go for it. :)

Oh yeah, she's got great recall. Considering how much the fellow owners at the dog park love watching her "run", I think it would be just hilarious at a competition.
