This kitty has been hanging around the neighborhood since before we moved here. Somehow this dude is still around. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ Old man is on life nine for sure But we love him and feed him
And you haven't taken him in yet!? Surely the kitty has earned a loving, stable home where he doesn't have to fight younger cats for food...
He doesn't really fight other cats around here, and if he does it's some punk new cat to the street lol. Gruffy cat is the king cat here.
We've taken him in as much as we can. We feed him and maintain the spots he likes to chill at in our yard. He won't come in the house, doesn't want to ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ it can get a little chilly in winter so last year we set up a bed with a heating pad out on the front porch for him and he likes that.
If we were to take him to the local shelter, they would put him down. There are plenty of stray cats around here. Most older "rescues" get put down because they can't handle being confined.
The neighbors and us like him here. He catches mice and gophers. He gets lots of treats, food, water, and pats when he wants them.
Sounds like the lil man likes his freedom. Glad you let him keep it :3
