Haven't played but looking at first impressions suggests stuff is still broken.

Some highlights:

  • inventory kiosks in habs are unusable (there's a workaround apparently?)
  • spawning your ship in Orison doesn't work
  • invisible hangar doors are still a thing
  • personal hangars can disappear the stuff you placed around them

On the other hand I've seen some people with no problems so it's a classic SC experience, I guess.

Aye, sounds entirely standard for SC. I don't really care if they "wipe" our hangars in future updates, I can't wait to dump my random flair from like 10-12 years ago into the hangars and play around with my layout. I almost hope they wipe item placement and such so I can make a mess and have someone else clean it up. First thing I wanna do is drive my STV (or was it PTV? The golf cart, not the early days greycat buggy cart but the "newer" one, forgot the model/name) right off the base hangar door down into the void. No reason, but intrusive thoughts must be sated!

PTV is the first car we ever had, it's just slightly updated now. STV is the "jeep" one. Driving off into the void will still require flying your buggy to a space station as there's no personal hangars outside planets at the moment (I guess you could jump down Crusader technically).

As for wiping the hangar, the issue right now is that apparently hangars can remove your decorations but won't put them back into your inventory (so you probably won't be able to use them again until next major patch). Again, that's just from a brief reading earlier, didn't try it myself.

Thanks for the info and vehicle corrections. I'm ok with losing items for now, account bound so they'll eventually come back. See you in the Verse o7

No problem, just hope it sounded useful rather than pedantic :P

pedantic is my second name.

I tried to run the new LIVE patch. There a quite a few bugs present, since bunkers were not fixed, raids were not fixed I might try hauling missions IF they fix the missing mission objects.

Huh, I was already planning to take a break until 4.0.x and it seems like I won't lose much. Thanks for the update.

Me and a friend encountered numerous times, ATC disappearing your ship on entry/exit by automatically storing it, leaving you to fall to the earth. Luckily it stores the ship safely. Unluckily (if it's a new cargo hauling mission that becomes abandoned) you can't fetch it easily due to trespass warnings.

I'm trying to not be too mean, but there's not really a non-mean way to articulate my feelings about the new patch so:

IMO the new inventory system is an affront not only to general game mechanics and user interaction principles, but also to the very basics of logic itself. After trying it out for about 45 minutes I very calmly and neutrally said to myself, "I have to turn this off now and step away from this game for quite a considerable amount of time" lol.

Tried to go mining my SO with dual ROCs. Filled them to the brim, then found out there's no way currently to sell anything from them because of the physicalized inventory.

Now we have collectively ~$200,000 sitting in our storage crates because we can't sell...

Hmm, looking at the current issue (hauling missions auto fail because you dont get any objects to deliver) and the idiot design of negative reputation, I think I will have to wait until hauling missions gets fixed. I thank god that the idiots, that create the backend stuff at CIG have no say in real live and their utter garbage is only within a game.
