RIP Chester. He had a shitty life, but he made ours a little better while he was here.

Saw him perform a few times (in addition to LP he also filled in for other bands including being the frontman for STP for a few years) and I can tell you that he definitely enjoyed performing... It was very clearly the highlight of his life.
Me at 25: Thank you for saving my life.
Linkin Park: “I’m literally just screaming into a mic because my high-maintenance girlfriend dumped me.”
Heck yeah. I listen to a lot of their albums still very regularly. Got me through some difficult times. I was pretty devastated when Chester passed.
I found a guy on YouTube that covered In the End and Numb in Spanish, and it was like hearing them for the first time again.
Edit: In case anyone's wondering, updated with links.
Spanish rapping goes hard.
Yo now I'm just combing this guy's catalog. Thanks
I think I landed on his cover of "Plush" last year and did the exact same thing lol.
I grew up in the grunge era, so now you’re pulling me in too lmao. Gonna give this guy a sub.
Same. Dude's got almost the exact same taste in music I grew up on (pero adaptada al español).
The only issue I had with Hybrid Theory and Meteora was that they always flew by - just checked and they were both under 40 minutes each! But I guess to be more positive, they never overstayed their welcome :) good shit.
Shout out to the Reanimation remix album and Mike's work on Fort Minor, too!
Quality > Quantity
Craaaaaawling iiiiiin my skiiiiiin
Don’t sleep on their later albums either. I did for a long time, but have come to appreciate them as I age. I think I like A Thousand Suns more every time I listen to it.
See what smoking did to the guy.
A great excuse to share the band Hybrid Theory, probably the best cover band I've heard.
I am very into grunge and subsequently "nu metal" and originally, I just liked the way it all sounded but now I love them for the lyrics that are super relevant to me. And they're all depressing and/or about suicide. 😮💨
A lot of the songs are about having the courage to stand up for yourself when other people exert power over you.
Though, I'm sure Linkin Park didn't intend for me to go HAM when the dialup modem was taken every night before bed.
Reanimation is underrated as hell and is aging like fine wine.
Me at 40. This bangs shit
Glad to see things have not changed. For me it would be green days Dookie, and I could also add an age 40. But same shit.
You were smoking at 15?
Less common now but a lot of people started smoking around that age.
Here, smoking with 16 was legal until I turned 20 or so. My smoking friends started before that age, so 14 or 15. This was in Germany until the mid-2000s.
It wasn't very common among my peers, but did happen.
Kind of interesting how you're starting to see more and more Linkin park presence online these last few weeks. Building hype for tickets for their coming tour I bet.
Edit: called it
Considering their lead singer died 7 years ago I highly doubt it.
Don't doubt. Just believe.
Think of this message in a few months.
I will take my "you were right" now please.
You got downvoted, but I agree. I think this was and is astroturfing. (It got re-posted today. https://slrpnk.net/post/13405801)
